Monthly Monday Monologue Vol. 2

Happy Monday, friends! As of Saturday, I am officially 26 weeks and feeling it, lol. I feel massive, and I still have a little over 3 months left till we get to meet our little man! If you read my last post, you probably remember me talking about my struggles with insecurity. The above photo, while it has been edited color-wise, is one I obviously took with my phone and made no other modifications to. No fancy equipment, no hours finding the right pose, just me snapping a quick photo of myself and my growing babe. This is me finally telling insecurity no and being vulnerable. It’s high time we start being honest, because the internet is full of people who don’t share the whole story.

So here we are. Round 2 of Monthly Monday Monologue is underway, starting off with a bang! This time around, we haven’t had a whole ton of home projects happening, but we’ve been equally busy. I did manage to snag one of the new iMac 24’s that launched in April after many months of saving though, which was so exciting! This is the first computer I’ve been able to buy brand new ever. Even my first ever Apple laptop was used, so I’ve been pretty giddy about it!

•What I’ve Been Up To•

This month has been jam packed with lots of activities. The first Saturday in May my husband and I finally got to go meet my new niece Ellie and visit with my sister. The second weekend, we went on a family vacation to our favorite location in Orange Beach, AL! The third weekend we had with dinner with some dear sweet friends of ours, and went kayaking. The fourth Saturday, Ben and I went to watch some historic military planes here in Chattanooga, which was super neat albeit extremely hot. We also went to a baby shower the following Sunday and celebrated one of my best friends who is also having a son here in a few weeks. This past weekend, we helped my sister and her family move into their new house as well as celebrated my mom’s birthday!

Although this month has been crazy busy, I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s been so fun seeing so many different people & celebrating different things. Thanks for tagging along with me as I recap this month through this monthly Monday monologue!

•Blog & Shop Updates•

Still nothing new to the shop yet. If there’s something specific you guys would like to see in it, please let me know! I would love to start creating things you guys are crazy about. There’s a few photos below of some projects I’ve done with sublimation (NOT perfect or styled). Sublimation has become my new favorite thing because it’s permanent and dishwasher safe, unlike vinyl which I was previously using.

On the blog, I published my first ever “Bumpdate” post under the Motherhood category on Friday, which was quite fun! I look forward to jumping in with these type posts. I’m sure with having a little boy, I will have countless stories to tell with that. Eventually we will reveal his name, but I haven’t quite decided how I want to go about that yet.

•Things I’m looking forward to•

  • Some friends’ weddings
  • Going to Helen, GA (hopefully) with my husband
  • My own baby shower
  • Celebrating Ben’s first Father’s Day!

I hope that the month of May has been a great one for all of you as well. I hope you enjoyed this round of my Monthly Monday Monologue!
